1S Whoop Batteries by Size: What the Bench Flew on 65mm and 75mm
Short version: every measured 65mm number on this site was flown on a BetaFPV LAVA 300mAh 1S LiHV (listed 75C, BT2.0), 8.2 g on the scale — and BetaFPV now lists it as discontinued. On 75mm the pack flown most is the weBLEEDfpv 450mAh, on three builds, and those runs are provisional. Everything else below is what a listing claims, labelled as such. 85mm whoops usually run 2S, and none has been flown on the bench, so they are not covered here.

65mm: the LAVA 300 is the reference, and it is discontinued
Both calibrated 65mm builds on the bench page flew a LAVA 300 charged to 4.35 V:
- Air65 analog, VCI 0702 30,000 KV: 25.42 g all-up, 3:53 cruise, landed at 3.28 V under load.
- Mobula6 2024 HDZero, SE0702 28,000 KV: 27.73 g all-up, 2:34 cruise on the same pack model, landed at 3.35 V under load.
BetaFPV's LAVA 300 page lists it at 75C, LiHV, 63.5 × 11 × 6.4 mm and 8.3 g, sold in fives (its LAVA II comparison table gives 64 × 10 × 6 mm and 8.2 g); two weighed here came in at 8.14 and 8.21 g. That page now tags it Discontinued and shows it sold out. On paper its 75C met the homepage's bar: manufacturer data quoted there puts four 0702s at 28,000 KV near 19 A at full throttle, calls a 300 mAh pack at 60C (18 A) already marginal, and sets 75C as the safer floor. 75C on 300 mAh is 22.5 A. Sag has not been measured here.
65mm packs on sale now, not flown here
Neither of these has a bench run, so neither has a number on this site.
- BetaFPV LAVA II 320 — the pack BetaFPV's own comparison table sets against the LAVA 300. Listed at 95C, LiHV, 8.2 g and 64 × 10 × 6 mm, sold in fives, for the Air65, Air65 II, Meteor65 Pro, Meteor65 Pro O4 and Cetus.
- weBLEEDfpv 340 — its listing names no whoop; it is here because its 60 × 11 × 6.8 mm is close to the LAVA 300's. More capacity, listed at 30C continuous: 10.2 A on 340 mAh, against the ~19 A above. BetaFPV's ratings carry no continuous/burst qualifier, so the two are not like-for-like. 4.35 V max, 8.5 g ±0.5, pigtail or direct plug, sold in fours.
75mm: the weBLEEDfpv 450, flown on three builds
The weBLEEDfpv 450 has flown on three 75mm builds, each charged to 4.35 V and landed at 3.40 V under load — where those runs ended, not a recommended cutoff:
- TreeTopper 75 analog, Treetoppers 0802 32,500 KV, 35.5 g: 4:29 freestyle.
- Fractal 75 analog, RCinPower GTS V3 0802 25,000 KV, 35.72 g: 5:27 freestyle.
- Cockroach 75 HDZero, BetaFPV 0802 Champion 28,000 KV, 36.55 and 36.34 g: 2:44 and 3:01 freestyle. The first run's notes also say its cutoff was not captured.
Read those as durations, not a comparison. Freestyle throttle does not repeat from run to run and none of these current sensors is calibrated, so the runs say how long a pack lasted on that build that day, not which build or pack is better. The TreeTopper record advises a puff check on its pack after that run. Full records, caveats included, are on the bench page; the raw JSON is in data/bench/.
The listing gives 11.7 g for the pigtail version and 12.1 g for direct plug. On the three builds, all-up minus dry weight puts the pack at 12.78–12.99 g; none has been weighed on its own. The listing's text gives no C-rating or max voltage and calls the packs LiPo, but the box and pack labels in its photos read 95C and HV. The packs on the bench are recorded as LiHV and were charged to 4.35 V. Charge yours by its label: LiHV (4.35 V) only if it is marked HV, otherwise LiPo (4.20 V).
The TreeTopper also flew a BetaFPV 450 (11.97 g) and a BetaFPV 480 (12.61 g), for 2:43 and 3:21. Both runs were uncontrolled — undercharged starts (4.10 and 4.25 V), different cutoffs (3.50 and 3.36 V), freestyle throttle that does not repeat — which is why the bench page says they are not a pack A/B. The record does not say whether that 480 is a LAVA II. BetaFPV's LAVA II listing (BetaFPV store) puts two packs on the Air75, Air75 II, Meteor75 Pro, Meteor75 Pro O4, Cetus Pro and Cetus X: the 480 at 95C, 12.6 g and 61 × 15.5 × 6 mm, and the 580 at 14.1 g and 70 × 15 × 6.5 mm, both LiHV and sold in fours. If you are still choosing the frame, Air vs Meteor covers that fork.
How many to buy
Box sizes are fixed: the LAVA II 320 comes in fives (as did the LAVA 300); the weBLEEDfpv 340 and 450 and the LAVA II 480 and 580 come in fours. A WhoopStor V3 charges six at a time, so two boxes is one full board plus a few cooling off. BetaFPV's package lists for the Air65 II and Air75 II bind-and-fly include no battery, so the packs go in the same cart as the whoop. A full first cart, built around the original Air65, is in First Tiny Whoop Setup.
Charging: one pack type per batch
WhoopStor settings are shared across all six ports, so charge one pack type at a time, in the mode its label calls for. The charger guide's starter setting is 1 A: 3.3C on a 300 and about 2.2C on a 450. None of these listings publishes a max charge rate, so that setting is not checked against any spec. Run storage mode after any session where the packs will not fly again within a day or two, charge attended, and retire anything that puffs. On BetaFPV's USB-C charger instead? The HexaCharger comparison has the differences.

Every run on this page, caveats included, is on the bench page. For a build that is not on it, the calculator estimates flight time from dry weight, motor, prop and pack.
